Phlebotomy Training Program

Start your healthcare career with confidence through the Legacy Diagnostic Solutions Training Center Phlebotomy Training Program. Our comprehensive hands-on course is designed to prepare students for entry-level phlebotomy positions in hospitals, laboratories, physician offices, plasma centers, and other healthcare settings.

Students will receive classroom instruction, hands-on training, and real-world skill development in a professional learning environment focused on safety, accuracy, and patient care.

Edmond Thompson Jr. Legacy Grant Program

June 30th, 1955 - October 11th, 2025

The Edmond Thompson Jr. Legacy Grant Program was created in honor and memory of the founder’s father, Edmond Thompson Jr., who continually encouraged her to remain focused on her education regardless of the challenges life may bring. His support, guidance, and belief in perseverance inspired the creation of this grant program to help others pursue their educational and career goals.

The grant program exists to assist and motivate students who demonstrate financial need, dedication, professionalism, and a strong desire to pursue a career in healthcare through the Phlebotomy Training Program at Legacy Diagnostic Solutions Training Center.

This grant is intended to help remove financial barriers while supporting students who are committed to successfully completing the program and serving their communities with professionalism, compassion, and excellence.

Grant Award Options:

Partial Tuition Grant — $650.00

Recipients awarded the Partial Tuition Grant will receive $650.00 toward tuition costs.

Student Responsibility:

• Remaining balance of $650.00 must be paid by Week 5 before clinical rotation.

• Payment plans are available.

Enrollment Fee Assistance — $400.00 Recipients awarded Enrollment Fee Assistance will receive assistance toward initial enrollment costs.

Student Responsibility:

• Remaining balance of $325.00 due by the 1st day of class.

• Remaining tuition balance of $650.00 must be paid in full before clinical rotation

Eligibility Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old

• Possess a high school diploma or GED

• Complete the Training Center application

• Submit the grant application by the deadline

• Provide a short personal statement

• Demonstrate financial need or hardship

• Agree to maintain professional conduct and attendance requirements
